Dialysis Center Salvages Vault from Former Bank
MACON, Ga. – Following the demolition of an existing bank, Piedmont Construction Group managed the construction of the new Renal Physicians of Georgia in Warner Robins. As a special request from the owner, Piedmont Construction salvaged the bank vault door and worked it into the design of the building for historical appreciation.
The building features a dialysis center as well as a medical office. The Dialysis Center has approximately 16 stations and a four-room home health suite that is designed to operate independently from the adjacent medical office suite. The project also includes administrative offices, waiting rooms, break rooms, and multiple patient rooms.
In addition, 300+ solar panels were installed, providing 80% of the power consumed during daylight hours. The Soprema ModBit roof system also reflects solar energy from the roof up to the bottom of solar panels in addition. The building also includes AD system interior door units, Grace Ultra heat reflective barrier installed under metal wall panels to reflect heat from penetrating the building, and an osmosis system for the medical equipment.
