Piedmont Wins Two Historic Preservation Awards
The Historic Macon Foundation honored Piedmont Construction Group with two 2019 Historic Preservation Awards for two residential properties: Spearman Lofts and 524 Mulberry Street, both located in downtown Macon.
To receive this award, the residence must be treated according to the National Park Service's definitions of preservation, rehabilitation, or restoration.
The Foundation defines the preservation award as a project that places a high premium on the retention of all historic fabric through conservation, maintenance, and repair. It reflects a building's continuum over time, through successive occupancies, and the respectful changes and alterations that are made.
